QPA surveyors, both GPs and non-GPs, have extensive experience working in general practice and must have a minimum of five years experience to be eligible to join the surveyor team. In addition, GP surveyors must be Fellows of the RACGP or ACRRM, or be vocationally registered.
Our surveyors participate in ongoing Quality Assurance and Training programs to ensure our surveyor team are general practice professionals who have the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience.
Mandatory training sessions are held regularly, including face-to-face workshops and online webinars, and the delivery of educational modules. Surveyor reviews are continually undertaken, including an onsite peer review visit with a senior QPA surveyor representative. This review process monitors key competencies and personal attributes including, but not limited to, presentation, punctuality, communication skills, leadership, Standards knowledge, interview and questioning techniques, auditing techniques and report writing skills.
If you are a GP passionate about the advancement of general practice in Australia, and would like to express your interest in becoming a GPA Surveyor, please complete our GP Expression of Interest Form, and GPA will contact you to discuss our program.
